The winning artwork for the 18th Annual Queen’s Cup Steeplechase contest was designed to capture the excitement of jockeys and horses leaping over the hedge in a vibrant, whimsical style. Reflecting the event’s colorful pageantry, the design also served as inspiration for that year’s first-place hat, as shown in the final image.
